The Emerald Moon is a fictional moon I decided to create for the sake of this release. It's partly inspired by 'Emerald Moon' from the 1997 PC game, Little Big Adventure 2, as well as the idea of a post-apocalyptic Earth.

The Watcher takes a little bit of inspiration from the idea of a guardian angel. Something that watches over you and pushes you on during hard situations and dire parts of life, such as living in a post-apocalyptic environment. It also takes inspiration from nature itself. Something that fuels our existence and watches us go about our lives day by day. This could be trees, hills, the wind etc.

Lullaby of the Emerald Moon is meant mostly for eeriness and not much else. A piece that reflects the dire, wasteland like environment that has enough comfort in it to picture life in such a place.

In The Shadow of The Weary Mountain is a reference to a fictional mountain on the afore mentioned fictional moon. A monolithic rock that watches over massive plains of stone. Quite possibly the highest mountain on the moon, I picture it to be both intimidating and warming at the same time. Intimidating in it's height, and the harshness of it's rocky ledges. Warming and comforting in the same way that most mountains are. Beautiful and mysterious, they often seem to feel as though they're old, wise watchers of the life around them.

For those interested, the following software was used to write and record The Emerald Moon:

Logic Studio 9
Miroslav Philharmonik
XLN Addictive Keys Trial (Ambient setting)

The artwork was created in Pixelmator for OS X.
